The role
We’re looking for a talented Frontend Software Engineer to join Waitwhile’s mission of eliminating waiting. You’ll help shape our product by designing and building advanced UIs that balance flexibility and simplicity, creating experiences that delight users and meet the high expectations of global brands.
Joining a small-but-growing team, you’ll collaborate closely with our cross-functional engineering teams, product managers, and designers to conceptualize and ship impactful new features. Our tech stack includes TypeScript and JavaScript, NodeJS, Firebase, Firestore, BigQuery, Angular, and React, running on Linux in Google Cloud Platform. While you will be working with Angular in this role, we welcome applicants with strong experience in other modern frontend frameworks like React or Vue. What matters most is your drive, problem-solving acumen, and ambition to level up your skills while building an incredible user experience.

We care deeply about software craftsmanship, we look for engineers who take pride in reading, writing, and thoroughly understanding the code they ship.
What you'll own
Advanced UI development: building settings UIs, guest journey builders, message template logic, and other complex flows.
Component libraries and reusable modules: ensuring consistency, scalability, and performance across the product.
Best-in-class user experience: balancing powerful features with intuitive design to save customers time and delight end users.
Performance and optimization: driving improvements in responsiveness and frontend scalability for large enterprise use cases.
Collaboration: working with Product Managers, Designers, and Backend Engineers to conceptualize and ship impactful new features.
Quality and standards: contributing to engineering best practices, tooling, and processes while assisting our skilled support team and operations team in triaging and resolving production issues.
What skills you need
2+ years of experience building web applications with modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, or Vue).
Strong programming skills in TypeScript.
Ability to balance UX craft with engineering scalability and a strong product-oriented mindset.
Great communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to different audiences in fluent written and spoken English.
Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms, distributed systems).
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Bonus Skills & Attributes
You have prior experience building with Angular (though you will learn it on the job if not!).
Work in open source or side projects.
You're experienced with NX mono repos or RxJS.
You've worked at a Startup or built a SaaS platform.
This position is based in Stockholm at our bright offices on Kungsgatan 32. We’re a hybrid company and prefer that you work from the office at least 2 days per week, as we believe the best product gets built together, live.
